In The Picture - Write On!

A strange thing happen to me the day I took this photo. A flashback to February 3, 2012 and I'm trying to think of something for today's 365 self photo number 247. It came into my mind that I should go to a sandy beach on Lake Ontario and write my name in sand. So off I went. Afterwards when I got home that's when what I thought was something strange happen. I turned on my computer and surfed to the Urban Muser's "In The Picture" web page. I wanted to find out the theme for February. Wow! What a surprise to see that the February theme is "write on!" What a coincidence. How did I get that message into my mind. Does the Urban Muser have the power of mental telepathy? I'm linking to In The Picture.

Project X

Either I'm losing it or I'm getting desperate for things to photograph. I looked up and spotted this hanging from a tree branch. Is it a newer version of "X" marks the spot.

This was taken on the sidewalk outside of a antique shop. I remember these from when I was kid. They used to have them outside of the corner variety store. Sunday Bridges - Pedestrian

This is taken from a angle that does not demonstrate fully to the eye that it is a bridge. You will have to take my word for it that it is a pedestrian bridge on the Trans Canada Trail spanning over Duffins Creek. I'm linking to San Francisco Bay Sunday Bridges.

Ceiling Fan

I was testing the scene for my 365 self portrait project. When I got into the picture it was not turning out the way I wanted it to. So I abandoned it for something else but I did like this photo of the fan in motion.

Gatehouse

In rural areas it is common to see these structures at the driveways near the road. Most of them are there to shelter school children as they await for the school bus to arrive. This is the fanciest (it has seen better days) one I have every seen. I'm glad I shot this photo at f22 which gave me the star like effect from the sun.

Picnic Anyone?

Because of the mild winter and lack of snow I usually see people sitting on the bench with a cup of Tim Hortons. A snow fall over night with freezing temperatures has changed all that.

St. Jacobs - Silos

In the village of St. Jacobs you will find the renovated heritage gristmill and silos. Originally they were The Pioneer Roller Flouring Mill that was established by Elias W.B Snider in 1870. "The Village Silos" have been converted into retail outlets for the area's craftspeople.

Went to the nursery and took this photo in the garden pond section. I was afraid to look at her price tag.
