Self Portrait - Tax Deadline

From July 2011 to June 2012 I did a 365 day self portrait photo project. It involved me taking a daily photo that include a part of me in the picture. It was done as a learning experience for camera and photography skills. Starting with this photo, I thought I would begin posting some that I liked more than others. Today April 30, is income tax deadline in Canada. I hope you can see the humour in this one.

Air Force Graveyard #2

Continuing from yesterday's posting here's another plane that I believe this to be a CF-104 Starfighter. It entered Canadian service in March 1962. Originally designed as a supersonic interceptor aircraft, it was used primarily for low level strike and reconnaissance by the RCAF. Eight CF-104 squadrons were originally stationed in Europe as part of Canada's NATO commitment.

Air Force Graveyard #1

The Markham Airport is located on Hwy. 48 about 5 km. north of the Town Of Markham, Ontario. The airport tarmac is also home to a few aircraft from the defunct Canadian Air, Land and Sea Museum. Most of the collection is in a restricted area and you will need permission to enter. This plane that I believe to be a Canadair CT-133 Silver Star can be found in an accessible area. If you wish to see the planes in person the Google map location can be found in the post footer below. PS: The original photo was taken on a very dull day and had very drab colours. So I enhanced it by popping the colours.

CN Tower

This is a belated Happy Birthday to the CN Tower (on the right). On April 2, 1975 the construction of the CN Tower was completed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Reaching to a height of 553.3 metres (1,815 feet) and thus became the world's tallest freestanding structure at the time.

The Fisherman And His Dog

I was standing up on the pedestrian bridge ready to take a stealth photo of this fisherman when he suddenly looked up and caught me in the act. Fortunately he did not mind.
