The tape measure across the top makes this sign unique. The lady walking by apologize for walking into the scene. I didn't tell her that I really wanted someone in shot. I think it makes a much better photo rather than just having a bland storefront.

That Sinking Feeling

Drive your car onto winter ice and it could end up looking like this. All winter long, cars have been venturing out onto the frozen water of Frenchman's Bay. This one hit a patch of thin ice. Two 12-year-olds in the vehicle got out on their own, but the mother of one of the kids was trapped in the front seat. Ice fishermen came to the rescue. She had bad luck and good luck all in the same day.

The incident occurred on March 2, 2014 and on March 17 the car rescue took place.
Slowly but surely the car was towed to the shoreline.

China loaned two giant pandas to two Canadian Zoos (Toronto and Calgary) for a ten year period. Toronto Zoo will be home to the pair for a minimum of five years from 2013 to 2018. The pandas will then relocate to the Calgary Zoo sometime in 2018.

Another windy day on the waterfront. Can you see the water vapor rising above the wave splash and below the branch extended to the left? That is from the Nuke Plant discharging hot water into the lake.

A brave soul is he. No shelter and the cold wind blowing from behind him. I had been watching him in this crouched position for about twenty minutes. That is something I could never do.
