Subway Travel

Photographing travel between subway stations gave me lots of reflection and motion blur.

Monday Beards

FUZZY. When I asked him for permission to take his photo he was a gentleman about it. He stopped and let me take a few. He told me he gets a lot request. I like the necktie that he is using as a head band.

Globe File Manufacturing Company - Abandoned

Established 1888 in Port Hope, Ontario. Taken over by Cooper Industries in 1972, it remained in Port Hope until the North American Free Trade Act (NAFTA) led to the business being moved to Mexico.

On the left, the shield is supported by the English Lion. On the right it is supported by the Unicorn of Scotland. The unicorn is chained because in medieval times a free unicorn was considered a very dangerous beast. It was believed that only a virgin could tame a unicorn. I really wanted to get around in front of him to capture the no smoking sign above is head but he moved away before I could get in position. This at a train station and if the transit police had showed up he would have received a fine.
I think it would have cost him $45.00.
