Vintage Public Transit

The PCC (Presidents' Conference Committee) is a streetcar design that was first built in the United States in the 1930s. Eighty years ago on Sept. 23, the PCC was introduced to the Toronto Transit Commission's (TTC) fleet where they remained until 1995. Torontonians for one day got the chance to ride on the vintage streetcar on Sunday September 23, 2018 to celebrate the anniversary.

Help Me Mama

I think this little guy fell from his nest. Normally squirrels are stressful creatures and keep their distance from people.

He absolutely has no fear and decided to take a rest on my wife's foot. I determined the best thing to do for him would be
to leave him on his own. Mother squirrels will wait until no one is near by and reclaim their young, even if the infant has been touched by a human.

La Martre Lighthouse

Erected in 1906 and still operational. Named after nearby Marten River, La Martre Lighthouse is considered by some to be the crown jewel of the Gaspé lighthouses. Though fully automated, it is the only light in Quebec that operates in a non automated manner during the day, so that tourists can see the Fresnel lens rotating in its mercury bath using the original system of weights and cables.
