First Snow
This was the scene from my upper story window yesterday morning at 6:37 A.M. Compared to some other parts of North America we got off very easy with a light dusting of snow.
It looks like a light dusting, but it also looks very slippery. I hope you only get as much - or little - as you wish. We've gotten repeated snow - and even blizzard - warnings, but no white stuff at sea level.
Buses don't seem to slip around as much as cars, but I know what you mean. One tactic is to just slow down. While there is no snow or ice here in San Antonio, a little rain can make roads slick and hazardous. Texans don't know beans about driving on slippery streets.
And we actually got freezing temps here in sunny Florida last night...maybe we'll get snow this year ;)....we did a few years back ;)
ReplyDeleteYes I am glad for you that it is such a thin layer. I have seen other times with much more.
ReplyDeleteYou never know what will come..

ReplyDeleteFirst snow of the winter is always special. It's the 10th or 12th that get old. Hope your snow is long melted by now.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was driving buses, after about 3 snow falls in row the stress would build up.
