Well if his Mom does not know. The street does and half of them smoke young as well. Plus most news stations show pictures of workers so then aye she will See. Maybe she is driving the car he has stopped.

Looks as if the traffic is far away from his mind and he's got a thoughtful eye on something/someone on the pavement over the road.
