Outdoor Sport
Old fashion Canadian pond hockey. In the summertime this a boat docking area at the local marina. You can see the dock and the hookup box for water and electric power.
I always wondered why the dutch don't play this game, we always had ice, but everybody only skates around or make tours through the country over rivers and lakes. Maybe it is more an american play, kind of difference of culture or traditions. This looks like a nice way to use the ice for a game.

I remember those days. Growing up, I lived at the top of a hill leading to one of the town's best ponds for skating and hockey. I was a basketball player, not a hockey player, but every now and then I joined in on a game like this.
Funny they have a goal at hand.
ReplyDeleteS.C. it is a portable hockey net. They are able to be easily carried and moved. In Canada the kids use them a lot for street hockey.

ReplyDeleteThis looks like a good alternative to cabin fever in that cold, cold weather. I've always liked hockey more than the U.S. football.

ReplyDeleteOur marina is too full of swans for this to happen! But I have seen a few rinks set up out by the Botanical Gardens in the canal.
