i always photograph the obvious, i like that you often photograph objects that i walk past. i often say to myself, i want to be more "out-of-the-box", but i kinda' stay in that cookie cutter mold!!! it's a cool image!!!!
As a photographer you see the idea of a once useful device, and the ravages time and neglect can render to such a device. One photograph - two results, hard to do that using words alone. Ironic!
I understand that sentiment completely. We probably are more interested in what appeals to ourselves than worrying excessively about what might appeal to our viewers. The blogs are for us more than for the outside world.
There's a story in that old Jack. I like anyhing eroded or rusting - I would have taken the shot, too. You owe me, Andy, for stopping the snow before it gets to you.

ReplyDelete...because there is an appealing contrast between the gray earth tone and the brown earth tone. And the different textures and shapes are nice, too.
