Lovely picture, I like the way the colour of the machine pops out, I'm not sure thought that the machine would be robust enough for our house even in its heyday!
Back in the late 1960s we rented a house that had a washing machine like this in the basement. We used it for several years, and it worked great. My wife carried buckets of water across the basement until I hooked up a hose to fill it. That took some of the work out of washing clothes.
I am glad I live now and don't have to use this one...:)
ReplyDeletevintage at it's best
ReplyDeleteBut the colors are smashing.
ReplyDeleteThat's an old one
ReplyDeleteEd has given that one a new paint job.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing is that type of machine was still being made and sold up to about 20 years ago. I have no idea why anyone would have wanted one...
ReplyDeleteWatch out for your fingers in the thing!
ReplyDeleteThat thing certainly looks old!
ReplyDeleteThat's an old machine. Had one like that once and that was all there was to offer. Was my husbands grandmother's.
ReplyDeleteI'd never guess that this is a washing machine.
