| The Whitevale Dam is one of the major reasons that Whitevale has become such a popular spot for recreational angling. The dam which was repaired in 2002 is currently used to provide a physical barrier to separate migratory fish species such as rainbow trout and chinook salmon (downstream of the dam) from native brook trout (upstream of the dam). Fishing is off limits at the dam. |
Nice shot Andy. Especially the hanging branch in the foreground gives a lot of depth here.
ReplyDeleteImpressive dam with a good cause.
ReplyDeletea sheet of falling water
ReplyDeleteYou framed the photo nicely with the leaves on the side plus the movement of the water is excellent.
ReplyDeleteThat's neat and a pretty spot for resting, reading a book or photography!
ReplyDeleteThat is one nice dam shot!
ReplyDeleteThe dam looks in good shape!
ReplyDeletehaha at lowell, it is though!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this dam! Nice shot, Andy!
ReplyDeleteMuy bella imagen... Muy bien el modo en que la has captado
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely shot of that dam, looks good there.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the branch in the foreground. I probably would've meved for a different angle thinking the branch was in the way of my shot. I must remember tips like this. As a relative newbie to photography I have much to learn. I like the texture of the falling water too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fine composition, Andy. The kind one can spend some time slowly looking and seeing different parts of the image.
