It's rough being the leader (feathers). That's why I like a male in the lead. Less ruffled feathers for me.Live the motion the water gives the photos.

These are my favorite birds. Love this photo very much! Yes, the poor guy isn't very colorful but strong and great! And she is wonderful also.

Ducks do molt and grow new feathers. I had to look closely at the male to see he was a Mallard.

Looks like he have some grass growing out of his neck.
yes I was going to say where's his green and blue feathers but still a good photo anyway.
Good catch--- it's funny how they lose their color every year after the mating season.
Absolutely perfect shots! The ducks' feathers are in great detail and the reflections are truly awesome!
I love the reflections and the glassy quality of the water here. (So...do mallards suffer from male pattern baldness??)
