| Three quarters of the crops grown here at Bragg's go into making birdseed. Four different kinds of peas are used for pigeon seed, three kinds of corn for pigeon and birdseed, sunflowers, barley, oats for horses. They grow vetch and hard spring wheat. Soybeans are grown to help with crop rotation. |

...we have a farmer like this in our area. They grow lot of sunflowers.

ReplyDeleteWow! That is a lot of bird seed. Did not know that pigeons needed feeding. They have become a nuisance in many large cities. The soybean and small grain crops are not so unusual.
