One of the things I learned about when I was working in Chicago was how lake effect snow worked. I could see the lake from my apartment window and I watched it build up over the lake and then move slowly into the city. It was a beautiful think to watch!
This photo is magnificent, it feels like a seaside resort and the cold and snow adds a real plus to this beautiful landscape.
ReplyDelete...nice view from your side!
ReplyDeleteNot a nice day to be at the beach!
ReplyDeleteA brooding shot!

ReplyDeleteVery very frozen still.
ReplyDeleteCold and frozen, a good day to be home in a nice and warm environment.
ReplyDeleteCold has a way of stillness, like the air has frozen. Wonderful photo.
ReplyDeleteHoly mackerel (frozen) that truly is a frozen, brooding, magnificent shot!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's a good day for a picnic.
ReplyDeleteHow barren it can look. Great shot with that fallen tree.
ReplyDeleteBuena captura de la crudeza del invierno, cierto que los copos de nieve "navegan" por el agua.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
It still looks so cold there, brrrr!
ReplyDeleteGrey, windy and cold, just like the weather in Sweden.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo!
