Traffic Jam
The westbound Highway 401 lanes were closed for hours as part of a police investigation. Commuters were force off the highway onto the local roadways. The roads were so congested that many travellers were stuck in traffic for hours.
Ugh! Most of our highways are only a lane each way. An accident can close them for hours. Recently a bridge into our county was closed due to high winds. A friend took an alternate that added about 3 hours to a 2 hour drive.
That doesn't look good and probably made many people unhappy.
ReplyDelete...someone was in a BIG hurry!
ReplyDeleteJust stay calm...you'll get there eventually!
ReplyDeleteUgh!
ReplyDeleteI am no fan of traffic jams, or tail backs. Think I have been stuck in my share of them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nightmare, Andy. I hope you weren't one of them!
ReplyDeleteWhat catches my eye is not the traffic but all those inconspicuous electric wires that it would be time to bury in order to make the cities prettier
ReplyDeleteIt is such a headache at times on that highway.

ReplyDeleteCold and crowded!
ReplyDeleteIn a country with highways build for cars from the start I am amazed that you have traffic jams. But now it seems common the whole world over.
ReplyDeleteIt is getting more crowded on the roads everywhere.
