When Steam Was King

Artist Allen C. Hilgendorf painted the mural on the side of a historic fire hall.
It depicts a nostalgic look of the Markdale train station.

    I do remember the switch from steam to diesel, and the demise of travel by rail. I loved traveling by train. Ah yes, nostalgia.

    It's a nice mural. I enjoyed a train trip we took last November. Much more comfortable than the sardine cram of a plane.
