I grew up in a place like that but don't see it here unless I travel north to Flagstaff.
Brussels authorities always seem to be surprised with snow in winter. even 1cm paralyses the city.
I saw a few flakes of snow this morning!!
Yes, Andy we are all too familiar with road salt. I have had car begin to disappear because of it.
Here we use sand with grit when it's icy. They call it gritting.
A familiar sight here too.
Oh goodness, all that salt.
No salt here--- just sand. But we don't get all that much.
