    A fine macro shot, Andy, but these guys can decimate crops, and under the right conditions turn into swarms of locusts.

    I remember riding my motorcycle the the foothills north of San Diego in 1978 when I ran into a huge swarm of these guys--- They were all over, and the worst of it was running over hundreds of them while they swarmed around my helmet. Never encountered anything like that before or since.
