St. Joseph Church
The Church is one of the focal points of present day Whitevale, Ontario. It was built to replace the Canadian Methodist Chapel built in 1854. Eventually the church was repurchased and converted to a Greek Orthodox Church.
It reminds me of a St. Joseph to the north of us--- a brick Catholic church built originally as a mission for Native Americans. A number of Catholic Perishes have been closed in these small towns due to both declining membership and an extreme shortage of priests.
...lots of wonderful details!
