Winter Geese
Unless the deep snow covers farm fields Canada Geese will spend the winter here. They fly inland to feed in fields where they can find spilled corn, oats and soybeans. They also like to arrive in large numbers.
We have been seeing many flocks of Geese flying about, but only one flock seems to spend the winter here. There are many harvested farm fields where the Geese have been feeding. You caught great action with these Geese, Andy.
...and their cousins are doing the same thing here.
ReplyDeleteThat must be a very noisy place. The few that live on the nearby golf course make a lot of noise. This group must make quite a racket.

ReplyDeleteI saw a flock like that grazing in a county park yesterday---- Lots and lots of them!
ReplyDeleteThey are with many of them!
ReplyDeleteAt least they are cleaning up the field, that's useful.
