These old building has amazing charm and details. I like the post processing, the bricks and door pop just the right amount.
Looks like a grand old building that could use a little TLC. We have no orthodox shuls here; we have two reform synagogues, though. This is Baptist country...Southern Baptist, independent Baptist, all kinds of Baptists.
It has a very traditional look to it. Most of the Synagogues here are all modern structures.
All sorts of denominations/religions seem to be shutting places of worship - this one looks to be built to last.
At some point I've passed this. It is imposing.

The doors are beautiful and the balloon is fun.
1930. Boy! I bet that was a tough time to begin building a synagogue. Or did the Great Depression not hit Canada like it did the U.S.?
Like the doors and the wood I presume between the windows needs attention, let's hope it's not left too late.
It's quite a solid looking building. I thought that balloon was an inside out umbrella at first glance. It's a nice touch!
