St. Joseph Church


The Church is one of the focal points of present day Whitevale, Ontario. It was built to replace the Canadian Methodist Chapel built in 1854. Eventually the church was repurchased and converted to a Greek Orthodox Church.

Winter Storm


Yesterday Environment Canada issued a blizzard warning calling for up to 60 cm (23 inches) of snow. The driving conditions brought most of the highways to a standstill. Heavy snowfall and parked cars have impacted the snow clearing operations. There is still a possibility of more flurries today.
