Wow, WHAT was in that bag? Do you know what fly species they will turn into? I'm facinated by maggots, they are such efficient little beasts. But I would prefer not to find something like this anywhere near my apartment. Less for the maggots but for the flies they turn into...I once forgot a container of maggost I intended for my frogs and came home a few days later to windows covered in flies. Yay...
Oh, definitely an M I can do without!! Quite a picture for the day though!! Enjoy your week, Andy!Sylvia
Eeuw! Maggots. That's certainly an original selection for M! :)
Maggots are nothing to fear... they only eat dead flesh. In the above photo they are feasting on dead fish.

Wow, that's a lot of maggots. After looking at the shot I saw the turkey below it and thought, I sure hope the delicious bird doesn't have maggots.
Well, yes... er, yes, this is indeed an M-word. Very original.Purrs,Sara CatSara Cat's abcWED-round-7-M

I had a wheelie bin filled with them once, I was grossed out the whole day! Great capture though, even if they are gross.

WHAT THE HECK!!! Are you harvesting Maggots? Messy, Yucky choice for M day. hahahaha
Mesmerising in a Hammer House of Horror sort of way. Great capture.
I associate maggots with the mystery stories I love to read, in which they are frequently used to estimate the time of death of the murderee.
That is just SO creepy! lol
