St. Jacobs - Silos

Andy | Saturday, February 11, 2012 | Best Blogger Tips

In the village of St. Jacobs you will find the renovated heritage gristmill and silos. Originally they were The Pioneer Roller Flouring Mill that was established by Elias W.B Snider in 1870. "The Village Silos" have been converted into retail outlets for the area's craftspeople.

  1. Clever idea. I often wondered if anyone calculated how many grains of (ex) corn a silo held.

  2. I like it when old industrial buildings are reused in stead of demolished.Mostly the are also a landmark in the surroundings and easy to use as an orientation point. Thanks for showing Andy.

  3. Ahh I've spent many a summer day wandering around there. It's a fun day trip.

  4. Hmmm, don't know if I would want to go inside. Great photo!
