  8. This reminds me of my Dad. Dad was starting out in the thirties . All his stuff came from auction sales. This would look like a gold mine to him. So your shot reminds me of how people find use from others trash.

  10. Five minutes after I left a (newly repotted) plant out on the road with a "free" sign last year a man knocked at the front door to thank me for it. It was a sort his wife collected and he knew she'd be thrilled. Win-win.

  11. There is a very funny TV commercial about an old abandoned sofa.

    In greater Hartford, if we put an old piece of furniture curbside in the evening, it is gone most of the time by morning.
