Trans Canada Trail #4

It is always nice to have bench to rest on when hiking the trail. There is one strange thing about the location of this bench...

...The view.
The goal is to connect the Trail as a continuous route from coast to coast to coast by 2017, the 25th anniversary of the Trail and Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation. There is just over 5,700 kilometres of Trail to go.

  1. Its always nice to have a bench on a walk. Sometimes you just want to sit and no view required. I am only afraid that there are a lot of kilometers and much less benches.

  2. Hmm....I guess it wasn't put there for the view but, I'm sure it wasn't put there for graffiti either. It also looks like someone had a fire there too.

  3. Unfortunate that taggers feel the need to degrade the bench. I don't mind seeing those on a trail... often they have memorial plaques attached.

  4. Why would anyone take a spray can with them to a hiking trail???!!!

  5. That will be one long hike! I wonder who will be the first to do it from beginning to end and how many days or weeks it might take. Months? Ha.

  6. A bench is a good thing on a long hike but a tree stump would do too. I see this bench has been marked.

  8. The one strange thing about the location of this bench is...what? It isn't really on the trail? It faces a blank wall? It is in the parking lot at the trail head?

  9. Weird looking without snow this time of year!

  10. I really don't mind that view but the bench isn't the most attractive.

  11. I suppose if you're tired you'll take any seat you can get. Too bad people have to ruin things, though.
