  7. Nature is what it is. Natural selection doesn't care about jellyfish dying. The strong will survive and reproduce and that's the way it's always been and always will be. I'm glad I'm not a jellyfish, though. They really get no respect!

  9. I've never seen a jellyfish except in aquariums. I didn't know they got left behind by the tide in such numbers.

  12. As a former scuba diver, I've seen several different types of jellyfish. Their sting can be very unforgiving. Recently on the Nature of Things (television show) an episode on Jellyfish aired. It can be viewed online at: http://www.cbc.ca/natureofthings/features/a-bowlful-of-jelly

  14. We have a short period of time each summer when the beaches may be littered with jellies. I stay out of the water then!
