  2. What a contrast of wealth, represented by the 911 Porsche, and poverty in your photo. Seems like a generous person is dipping into his wallet to make a donation. We never really know the life stories of homeless people, but these stories are all tragedies of one kind or another. Andy, thank you for your comment on my blog today.

  4. I saw 'Taken for Granted' comment and realized the Porsche has a vanity plate that could be Karl Wolf's car. I'm not familiar with his music, but I can imagine he's pretty wealthy, adding to the dichotomy the photo. I conflicted helping them. I don't want to give them money out of concern they would buy things bad for them, but everyone needs food and drink.

  5. From what I understand they have their own set of ethics which help preserve peace on the street. It's an interesting juxtaposition - the poor panhandler and the Porsche in the background.

  6. I always hesitate to give money wondering if I am supporting and alchohol or drug habit. I'd rather give a gift certificate to a restaurant or store.

  7. It's a tough situation to be in. I can't imagine living in the streets. There are lots of homeless people living rough in Dublin. It is one of the major problems facing Ireland the last few years with no solution in sight.
