I don't know why or how but it is very close to a major highway widening project.

This old house has become a target for graffiti.

  3. Oh boy, I can see in my mind that this was a beautiful house in its time. What a shame it's turned into a derelict. But with a major highway close to it, its prospects for renovation aren't very good. Another fine photo from Andy the Photog!

  5. Dear Andy the Photog: I tried to do what you requested but I couldn’t a wide angle lens that was big enough. I was going to write to Nikon but I didn’t want to seem nosy! Heh, heh...

  6. I like this house. The bricks look fine and the roof not too bad. It's a shame it has to go in the name of progress. Looks like it has been vacant for a long time with the overgrown weeds. Nice shot Andy and nice find.

  7. That's too bad... actually appears to be in good condition. I like how the house is built around the fireplace. I don't see that much in my neck of the woods.

  8. Yes it's a shame but the graffiti in the second shot makes it look like the house is watching the goings on. Deliciously creepy!

  9. I hate taggers too--- but I gotta admit that one adds to the visual interest on this poor old house.
