Bicycle Frame

Do you securely lock your bike to a stand to prevent theft? No problem to the thief... they will just take the parts. Recovery is also rarity for bike owners, with Police citing the convertible nature of the bike, which can be quickly and easily converted into cash or parts and sold on the streets or online.

  1. Regrettably it is similar here, that is why I gave up pedalling and resold my bike. It is sad, formerly we could leave his door opened without fear but today it would almost be necessary to take its bike with one in the store while we make his shopping.

  4. Since I rarely find myself in a city, my eyes have been opened to yet another photographic commentary on human behavior and the trash that results. Education is a good thing.

  5. Boy, they really stripped this clean; even took the seat. But it's an old Raleigh so not a great loss, unless of course, that's all the person could afford. There are organizations which redo old bikes and give them away; perhaps there's one in your area. It's so sad, though, because I see it as a sign of the times: Ayn Rand's philosophy has become the guide for too many people; greed rules and laws can be ignored.

  7. Somethings never change ... A friend's bike was stolen in Philadelphia and they caught the guy on video camera. The problem is, they could not identify the culprit.

  8. When I visited Holland they made it quite clear that most people had two bikes because bikes were stolen all the time and even the police did not look for them. There was even an underground stolen bike place where for a price you could get your bike back!

  11. My first real road bike was a Raleigh. This poor old bike has been there a long time given the rust on the frame and chain. Suspect the owner has abandoned it.

  13. Sadly this is not a rare sight. I never understand why some people leave their bikes parked so long in some areas.

  15. Oh goodness, what a shock for the owner when he returned - not just right that someone or two would do that to a persons bike.
Looks as if it's been there awhile as the chain is rusted.
