I have a lot of respect for those that served.

I consider myself lucky. I was too young for WWII and Korea and too old for Afghanistan.

  1. My dad was called up by the draft but got rejected because of asthma. He always said he was lucky even if he had to suffer asthma attacks on a regular basis.

  3. Always good to respect veterans no matter how one feels about policy. Veterans did their duty and deserve our respect. They were never responsible for policy, but I do question this guy's choice of color for his truck.

  6. I, like you, am grateful for their service and sacrifice-- But I don't know why it's necessary to have the warning on the back. That does not help anyone's cause.

  8. You were lucky, too, to not be pulled into Vietnam as many of my generation in the U.S. were. Many of those were badly scarred, as are those coming back from the Middle East now.
