Our winter here in southern Ontario has been a real mixed bag. We have seen unseasonably warm temperatures and rainfall in recent days, then back to freezing cold days.

Located on the shores of Lake Ontario, over the years it has taken a beating. There was a time when this poor guy stood upright and an it's roots were covered with rocks and soil. Last year strong winds and thrashing waves toppled the tree...
but it still is not giving up.

Apple Tree

At onetime this lot was a thriving apple orchard. That ceased a few years back. I think the reason for that is urban sprawl is gradually moving closer. PS: This is the last photo I will be posting with snow from the winter of 2017 - 2018.
