  1. That's really a pretty display of shop signs!
Re your question about the tunnel: it gets pitch black in there, even in daytime, as the tunnel is curved, so in the middle you don't see either opening!
    Have a great day!

  2. I've always thought of Markdale as a tiny place - but apparently not. I would like to wander down that street and into some of those open shops.

  3. VioletSky... Markdale is famous for it's Chapman’s Ice Cream factory.

  4. Was under the impression that in Commonwealth countries they drive on left side of the road.
Wonder what time you took this photo, for no one is out there on the sidewalk.

  5. Is that where Chapman's is? Definitely worth a trip, then.

I like the store names on the awnings, it looks neater and more uniform.

  6. GVK... North Americans drive on the right hand side of the road. Besides, we Canadians do not want to confuse the Yanks when they drive across the border:)

  7. Okay, I'll take some of the ice cream... we took a small grandchild to the Hershey ice cream parlor last week and there was no one else there! I mean, did they think it was too cold outside for ice cream??

    Nice town, Andy!

  8. I've never been there but it looks cute. Is there a factory outlet for Chapman's?

  9. I don't know if there is Chapman's Ice Cream outlet. Unfortunately there's no factory tours.
