this is a good sign - they are going to continue on the land, these farmers.
ReplyDeleteVery Good move! Government grants proper utilization for saving energy.
ReplyDeleteI love the contrast of eras.
ReplyDeletecombining old and new....good find!
ReplyDeleteSolar energy should be part of our energy package. Good that government is supporting this. Barns are interesting because they are fading away so fast. The reason for barns is to shelter farm animals, but farms seldom raise animals any longer as that task has been usurped by factory confinement agriculture. Farms now mostly raise grain and are larger and less profitable than in the past. Interesting photo of the old and new. Glad to see you back. I've missed your posts.
ReplyDeleteThis picture shows an interesting mix of old and new.
ReplyDeleteI like the mix of modern and traditional. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of the old and the modern.
ReplyDeleteI like the indication that this will be around a while - that is a big solar panel! Nice find for Barn Charm!
ReplyDeleteWhat a story in contrast!
ReplyDeleteSolar is the wave of the future. Nice shot!
ReplyDeletei've never seen the solar panels on the ground. usually on the roofs of buildings & homes. different. great barn & clouds. (:
ReplyDeleteI have seen tons of solar panels this year and last. I am impressed that so many farmers have taken advantage of the grants.
ReplyDeleteThere was only so much money that the Ontario government had in the grant fund. More farmers applied than expected and some of them had to pay the total cost on their own.
DeleteFantastic old barn & congrats on the grant for solar panels... I wouldn't mind having some for my place!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining =)
Interesting old and new technology photo. I heard that there are paints that have some solar collectors mixed in. Interesting concept.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see the contrast between the old and the new. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast shot. Great old barn!
