Sigh. I'm going to miss this place. I wrote about Zellers a couple of posts back. http://thesmittenimage.blogspot.ca/2013/03/a-farewell-to-zellers.html
US companies don't waste time when it comes to taking over Canadian companies, and most Canadian shoppers are happy to have them. No wonder they think we are their 52nd state. K
Great "ghost" sign! I've never been in a Zellers, but I can tell you that there isn't a Target (or "Tar-jay" if you are feeling upper-class) that I don't like and didn't walk out without spending at least $50! For some reason, I love Target compared to a Wal-Mart.
Zellers gong but not forgotten. I liked that store. It was the close's one for us in Lindsay from Haliburton. Which was a big store for us. Not sure if Target is all it is cut out to be. They say on the news. People cannot even find the prices at Taret. Hmmmmmmmmm
Has anyone been there and bought anything and can say they are better priced then Zellers?
Those letters must have been a long time there.
ReplyDeleteTarget seems to be everywhere. First day of spring today. . . Enjoy the Vernal Equinox!
ReplyDeleteI love it! It's a bit sad to see them go!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the streetcar yesterday!
Another Target? We have two and they're about 3 miles apart.
ReplyDeleteTarget wastes no time!
ReplyDeleteThe commercial world moves at mind-blogging speed, Target dominates so many places now.
ReplyDeleteAnd how soon will Target be bought out by somebody? We are shopping a moving "Target."

I'm sure people missed it.
ReplyDeleteGhostly goodness.
ReplyDeleteI ventured in to the new Target that just opened at Millcroft. Much like the old-new Zellers that opened up there a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteor gone, but not (yet) forgotten
ReplyDeleteMoney talks!!!! Wow!
ReplyDeleteAt least the space won't be empty for long.
ReplyDeleteTrue, Target is all over, they took over our Macy's downtown!

Wish our Zellers was going to be used, but no Target store for us, so it will sit empty for ages.
