Road Construction

This has been a year for major road infrastructure improvements. In this scene the road is being widen to accommodate Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lanes. The people in the background are standing at the bus stop awaiting the arrival of the next bus... which more than likely, due to construction, is running late.

  1. In summer there are always road constructions going on. Hopefully they are ready before winter comes. In the meantime they provide a lot of inconvenience for the users of the roads.

  4. This year has been the very worst for construction in our city, both highways and city streets. I've never seen such chaos before. Guess it's the best time for repairs, tho. Your bus riders look very accepting of this situation.

  8. You are so correct about tons of roads being torn up for bus lanes! I'll be glad when it's finished.

  9. It looks like a mess, lots of cars backed up. It doesn't look like a safe place to wait for a bus.

  10. Is that what was finally decided on? No light rail or subway?

  11. A couple of major streets in my area had that work done in recent years. At the moment, a street I rarely access, but within a few minutes walk, is getting it done. It really does make for chaos.
