Traffic Jam

Andy | Thursday, September 24, 2015 | Best Blogger Tips

Yesterday morning a traffic accident has almost brought everything to a complete standstill.

***********************************************************

Two men died after a collision between an SUV and two trucks on Highway 401. A pickup truck went under the back of the transport truck, while the SUV was crushed between the two trucks. The Highway was closed for about 10 hours. Cause of the accident has not been determined but morning fog may be a factor.

  1. And when it stops its a big jam indeed. What you now can clearly see is that american vans have their motor before the drivers cab. In europe under it to shorten the cars length. Yes less space here but the jams could be just as great as yours. Not something really to boost about.

  2. Oh, this is too bad. Two died in an accident. Traffic is becoming more crowded everywhere, those trucks are so dangerous. Not a pleasure to be stucked for hours on a road like this.

  3. I happened to be in Whitby yesterday and the traffic was horrendous on some of the side roads too. A terrible accident!

  4. Such sad news. I'm actually hearing much the same thing on the radio this morning. One of our freeways is closed because of an accident this morning.

  5. These are terrible events. I feel bad for the families of those killed, but also those that have to investigate, that must be a very difficult job.

  6. Traffic accidents and closed roads are a plague of modern urban life. Perhaps we would be better off with public transportation.

  7. Looks like D.C. traffic this week while the Pope's here.

  8. I hadn't heard that the second man passed, Andy! The fog was pretty bad yesterday.

  9. That first photo is quite dramatic, with the traffic extending back for miles! A real tragedy, and a major headache for those caught in the traffic.

  10. That's so sad! I avoid city traffic and interstates for this very reason..too dangerous. There are more and more 18 wheeler trucks on the highway now than ever, and my too many tiny cars out there that must look like mice from the truck cabs. I go the back way and round a bouts, and my family loves to tease me about it.

  11. Great photo but a terrible incident. This is a driver’s worst thought...being caught up in something like this.
