Halloween Canadian Style

Help this guy out... if you dare. Mmmmmwwwwahahahahahaha! Some people put a lot of effort into decorating their homes, yards and driveways. They may even construct life size replica graveyards or dungeons and invite people from the neighborhood to view their creations

Spider House. Halloween is celebrated in Canada on October 31. When the dark of the night arrives children dress up as ghosts, witches, skeletons, or characters from popular culture and go door-to-door, asking for candy while uttering the mock threat "trick or treat!"

  1. I am glad that this habit hasn't reached our country yet but media and commerce are doing everything to get it also here. Lucky for us it still is not landed.

  3. Times have changed Andy. Love your pictures. Scary the guy hands coming out. Really creepy. I wonder if they move to-night when it is dark.

Please Drop over to my page blog and see what the Seniors raked up at our front door outside first Yes the Seniors. Age 70 up to 92. . A Witch texting and she got so involved she smashed bang into the wall. Then scroll down and have peeks into our lobby and into the common area.

They say older people can not be changed. Well Mercy me. I was flabbergasted to see what they had done. Perhaps they took some of those Witches stirrings in that pot.

  4. It is amazing how some people really go all out for Halloween. I don't recall that I've ever done anything more than a lighted pumpkin and that was a long time ago. But, I do enjoy seeing the variety of decorations.

  7. The spider setup is really well done. I used to set up a mock graveyard. I made the tombstones from 2" solid insulation, easy to shape and paint.

  8. I fail to understand why anyone would get involved in these things, and that's not just 'cause I'm older than Methuselah! Crazy prevails. We'll have a parade of parents and kids coming by for hours but in our subdivision it's sort of regulated and the cars have to park in a special place, so it's not so dangerous.

  9. That first one is really cool. We live so far out in the boonies that in almost 40 years we have not had one tricot or treater. I no longer put out candy. It attracts the varmints that I do NOT want.

We're passing out candy tonight, too!

  11. I'm with Sharon. Here it used to be a carved pumpkin or two. Now some people go all out. We've pretty much just got a lot of older people in our neighborhood so there isn't decorating or costumed kiddies.

  12. This habit hasn't reached our country (yet).
But it is fun to watch on your way to celebrate Halloween. (The first photo is exciting.)
These people's next destination is to put Christmas decoration. I await with interest...

  14. Fine Halloween shot. Someone went to a lot of work to construct that web.
