Trackside

Andy | Thursday, October 08, 2015 | Best Blogger Tips

Me and my camera waiting at the side of the railway tracks hoping to take a picture of a moving train. I finally gave up. Tomorrow I will explain why I found the old poles on the left side of the tracks more interesting.

  1. Not a regular used track then but it has always something of the desire for the big trip far away .

  3. I have waited and waited for trains to come through too. It CAN be frustrating!

  4. They look like old telegraph poles, I bet they have cool insulators on them. Use google maps to find the depot the trains originae from, that may lead you to some sort of schedule.

  7. We don't have a train coming where I live Andy. We have the tracks. Could this be possible your way? Looks pretty barren.

  8. Particularly since unlike passenger trains, they don't really advertise their schedule!

  9. While it is tiring, much good photography has come from waiting. I would have thought those old poles would be in Poland. :)

  11. I got stuck yesterday at a level crossing with the world's longest train passing in front of me. It must have taken at least 5 minutes to go past.

  12. It would have been nice to see you sitting and waiting,

  15. Sorry you missed the train, but I like this picture. There are railroad tracks near my house and the trains go by quite frequently. I notice the sound more at night when I'm in bed, especially when they are approaching the railroad crossing and blow their whistle.
