Sleeping Swan

I have been told that though they may appear to be fully asleep, at least one eye may be open and they are always alert.

  4. I think you're right...I shot a Canadian geese sleeping and it kept one eye on me the whole time. This is another superb photo!

    I took some photos of black swans the other day but wasn't as close as you. They were standing on one foot, beak similar to the one in the photo, with one eye open :)
