Behind The Camera - A Screech of Gulls

While I was out for a walk with my wife, we came across this scene of gulls sitting in the sheltered of the bay. At this location Lake Ontario is to my back. The gulls were here because...

It wasn't me but something spooked the screech of gulls. Yup, that's the name given to a group of sea gulls. All three photos were shot in automatic mode. Not only did I have fun taking the photos but I also learned a new meaning for the word screech. The most famous screech in Canada is Newfie Screech.

  1. You're right, that IS the most famous screech in Canada. Haven't thought of it for a long time, though.
    Love your photos, Andy.
All the best for the holiday season and the new year!

  4. Well, you do learn something new each day. That is an appropriate name for a 'bunch' of seagulls.
