Signs, Signs - Hedpler Furniture

I keep debating if I should purchase a wide angle lens. In the meantime I'll be stitching my panoramas together. It's not the best software but it does work. I'm linking to Lesley's Signs, Signs.

  1. You always find a reason to depart from your money for a hobby. Buy that lens, you won't regret it. If the high grade furniture has the same charisma as the building then they are in trouble I am afraid but it looks like the furniture makers are already long gone.

    1. I think you are right S.C. I tried searching the internet for info on Hespeler Furniture but everything refers to as past tense. I think this is more of a ghost sign.

  2. I love a wide angle, so I would say go for it.
Although I couldn't tell this one had been "doctored". :)

  3. This sign is like reading the scroll across the TV during the newscast! You'd think they'd come up with a nicer sign!

If you did indeed patch this photo together, you did a bang up job, my friend! Either that or all your commenters need glasses! Hahahahaha!

  4. I'm glad the building is still being used!

  5. I like the three dimensional look that you get from wide angle lenses. Could not discover any stitches here though..

  6. I think you did a great job. Would never guess it's been stitched. I've never tried that...maybe I should?

  7. Good panorama for that ghost sign. Too bad the company doesn't still make furniture, but that happens. Just got a camera that stitches pictures together to do panorama, but I'm intrigues by yours.

  9. What a great-looking building and ghost sign, and so nice that the building is still being used.

  11. Great sign!

I'm quite fond of my wide angle zoom (Canon 10-22mm). They are a lot of fun.
