Noah's Ark

Pastor Paul in The Town Of Florenceville, New Brunswick had a vision in the late 1980s that he was supposed to build an ark. Construction began in 1993. The ark is two stories high and about two thirds the size of the ark as described in the Bible. It serves as the dormitory for the Bible college that the pastor also started. The Ark is 300 feet (91 meters) long, 36 feet (11 meters) wide.

  2. What an imaginative man! Do you have a photo of the mural on the arc, too; I'd love to see it.

  4. I've never seen anything like that. You would think it would get more attention. Even if it never actually floated, it would be cool to say you lived in an ark while attending college!

  6. All it needs is a giraffe's head coming out a window in the top! ;)

  8. That's a real piece of biblical whimsy. And it's actually filling a purpose.

  9. It must be kind of fun living in that dormitory. That is unusual!

  10. Now that I've seen your photo, I remember a very vague something about someone building an ark out that way, but I had no idea it was finished and had an actual function.
Let's hope, for that pastor's sake, that it is never required for an actual flood.

  13. Most unique. What's the length in cubits? Perfect place for Bible study.

  14. Should global warming melt the ice caps and raise sea level they will be all set with this ark.
