Early yesterday morning a thunder and lightning storm past through. Staying in the house I opened a window and set my camera on a tripod. I was hoping to get some photos of lighting bolts. Unfortunately the lightning came in flashes rather than bolts. This is what it looked like without the lightning.
The forces of nature never stop to impress.
ReplyDeleteAlthough no lighting,it is anyway a very nice photo with the red lights of a car.
ReplyDeleteStill a great shot Andy. The wet red on the street is of a unearthly beauty. I like it very much.
ReplyDeleteMarvellous shot !
ReplyDeleteTomás.
A very cool picture! I got a tripod for Christmas and haven't used it yet!
ReplyDeleteTripods are good for long exposures. This photo had a shutter speed of 30 seconds.
Deletei really love a good storm. rain, thunder, lightening....but some of the recent storms have been deadly, i don't like those. this is a beautiful image, it tells the story without the "bolts"!!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery moody and I like the light trails!
ReplyDeleteStill really pretty.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I like how atmospheric it looks and the shiny wet pavement.
ReplyDeletenice shot
ReplyDeleteVery fine time lapse photo with saturated colors. At least you were able to avoid being lit up by a lightening bolt. We need some long, slow rain, but it just hasn't shown up.
ReplyDeleteI was in bed for that storm and it woke me up! Not too many sunrise shots from me, Andy! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe same system would have passed through here a few hours later. We got some fierce thunder during the day.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo even without the lightning bolt. Very moody.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, even without the drama of lightening. Am I imagining it or is there still ice on your street?
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot.
