Located in the Port Stanley Harbour on Lake Erie the commercial fishing boats will remain here until the ice breaks up.

  1. Superb photo. That is a nice commercial rig for sure. The ice doesn't break them up sitting there all winter?

  2. I use to see whole fleets of commercial fishing boats in Lake Michigan, but they are mostly gone now. Commercial fishing in the Great Lakes is nearly a thing of the past. Good to see at least a few of these boats still exist.

  3. Looks cold Andy. I have never been around lakes that freeze and can't imagine it. Beautiful photo.

  4. Very nice. It always amazes me how these fish boats have so relatively little power, this one only 365BHP.

  6. I guess so. I'm surprised the ice doesn't damage the hulls.

  8. Maybe the captains are down here in southwest Florida until the ice thaws.
