Okay, okay. Before I get too many complains... all that snow is really, just plain old water.
The photo was taken in 2003. See more at Water Wednesday.

  1. I am moving up to your neck of the woods next month. Scenes like this scare me a little! :)

  2. I agree with you and wonder if there are "water" problems when all of that snow (very deep snow) melts... I guess when that happens (in June?) you can harness the flow into swimming pools? (jk) I like your photo!

  3. I think water in any form counts. Here in California we count on the winter snow pack for our water.

  4. Hehe! Yes, and hopefully all of the snow that's now in my yard will soon melt. :) Thank goodness I don't have as much as in this photo!

  6. Great image.

We are on the way home from the Caribbean. I sure hope the snow is gone in Ohio by the time we get there! :)

  9. At least those winters are far apart! This year hasn't been too bad, in terms of snow. (I live in Ottawa, half a planting zone north of you.)

  10. You are so clever. This is some snowy picture. When we have melting it really is one huge mess. Our yard out here in the country becomes part of the creek which flows out front.

  12. You're right, it is water, if someone doesn't believe it they can wait a bit until it begins to get warm and that will make a believer out of them, for certain!

  13. Oh, that's just WAY too much snow!!!

    WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE

    Water here and water there,
    Water, water everywhere!
Some as hard as steel or stone,
    Some as soft as mousie bone;
Some as tiny drops of dew,
    Clinging to the ancient yew.
Where there’s water, life is there—
    Water, water everywhere!
