This is a continuation of yesterday's posting. I decided to explorer the rest of the property and here's a few items I discovered. What's left of the farm house is located about 300 feet from the barn.

The boat looks like it is still useable. And the wall of the farmhouse also looks very nice but the rest must be a rubble. If a country is very big you can just let the remains rest in peace. Here in Holland the space is to expensive. We need it immediate again for something new.
ReplyDeleteThese are so fantastic!!! I hope you had your 'snake' boots on!!! I would be a little hesitant in these parts to venture into the high grass....but oh my....look what you found....wonderful treasures!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what that farmhouse looked like in its prime.
ReplyDeleteThis place is a treasure trove of photo ops!
ReplyDeleteI agree with s.c about the boat. I think it is a small sailboat. All it needs is a mast, sails, and rudder, and perhaps a trailer to move it. Old barns and buildings may hold hidden treasures. You have found great photographic treasures already.
ReplyDeleteThe stonework on both the barn and the house is so nice and solid. It's a shame to see it all go to ruin. I wonder what it was that led it all to be abandoned.
ReplyDeleteSo much was left behind...makes you wonder at the story of the people who lived here. I love the stone house!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure my allergies could have handled this trek, but what hidden treasures you found!
