Artist: Andred Drenters. This steel and copper sculpture of a man holding the former Town Of Pickering crest, a girl with a ball, a boy with a sail boat and woman with a goose, represents one of Pickering's founding farm families. Agriculture materials and symbols have been incorporated into the artwork. It was donated by Murray Stroud Law Office in 1989.

  1. It is an original piece of art. Thanks for the explanation otherwise I hadn't understood what is was about.

  2. What a great sculpture...we have some great pieces in the 'big city' but I just can't seem to capture them in their full beauty.

  4. The town must be proud to have such a fine piece of sculpture on display. Someone has worked hard at keeping flowers looking their best.

  5. Not what I would expect in Pickering - how was the response from the public?
