It's that time of year again when the salmon head upstream for their annual mating spree... then they die. These fish have spent their entire life in the fresh waters of The Great Lakes system.

They have amazing power to those bodies.. and incredible determination. I've watched, photographed and recorded them many times at the ladder in Bowmanville. They never cease to amaze me.
And are then food for bears and who know else. Yes the cycle of life.

ReplyDeleteNot me Lowell. I'm hooked on photography.
DeleteInteresting to see them swimming upstream.
ReplyDeleteI've never witnessed this - sad but wonderful at the same time!
