Monday Bikes - Bike Guy

Andy | Monday, February 10, 2014 | Best Blogger Tips

I was just standing there trying to figure out a way to get through the deep snow when all of sudden Bike Guy came through the foot and half high snowdrifts carrying his bike.

*****************************************

Bike Guy: Did you see the Bald Eagle fly overhead!
Me: Gee I missed it.
Bike Guy: He's heading toward a flock of Canada Geese.

*****************************************

Bike Guy: I am going to chase him down!
Me: Okay, go for it, I'll follow you.
We never did see the eagle again.
Seeing someone out on bike in the winter is not too much of a surprise for me but seeing Bike Guy trudge through deep virgin snow on a cold windy day was a surprise.

  1. I thought how can he bike in that snow, but I see the road was cleaned, smart fellow. Sad you couldn't trace the bald eagle, would have loved to see one!

  2. Tough guy. Your comment look a bit like the comment in the humans of new york blog by Brandon Stanton.

  3. The road is still too slushy for me to be tempted to bring out the two wheels.

  6. Two very striking things - bike guy suddenly appearing out of snowdrifts and the bald eagle that went over both of you. Hope you see the eagle again one day - and be careful in the snow! (though looks like your neck of woods is pretty good with plowing:)

  7. He's brave to be out on a bike. Where could he escape to if he needed to get out of the way in a hurry? Just wondering.

  10. I don't think I have ever ridden my bike in the snow. But the good thing is, if you get stuck you can just pick it up and carry it.
